Follow your nose into Lush

I’ve never been a fan of Lush. The smells that waft out of the store have always put me off. But, after a chance visit to a Lush in Amsterdam, I am hooked!

Lush is known for its handmade, natural products made with fresh ingredients. From shampoos, and deodorants to face masks and the brilliant bath bombs (they fizz around in a bath tub, releasing oils and scents into the water), their range is pretty huge.

The store did smell (a lot!), but it wasn’t as overpowering as I thought it would be. And actually once I was inside and playing with the products (it’s encouraged) I really enjoyed it and found some brilliantly-priced alternatives to my everyday buys.

I loved the fruity scent and feel of the Rub Rub Rub salt scrub (£8.95). The mimosa and orange smell is yummy, and the scrub has worked a treat in buffing dry skin. I also couldn’t walk out without a bath bomb and chose Intergalatic (£4.50). I can’t wait to try it in the bath!

The Lush shopping experience was highly enjoyable. Staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and encouraged us to try everything. I will be going back!
